Dad tip

June 22, 2015

Okay. One last Father’s Day story/ My Dad had to go for an operation. I said, “I’m flying out.” He said, ‘You don’t have to.” I said, “I only have one Dad.” And he was quiet. It was the answer he wanted. Well, I believe you only become a man instead of a son or a daughter, when you take responsibility for your Dad. Until then, even though your Dad says it’s not important. Go see him. It is important. and it defines you. His eyes will light up. And when I did fly back, and before my Dad went into surgery, he was looking at me and beaming and I knew I was the man my father wanted me to become. That built me. I measured up. And that’s what defines you. So, even if you might think it’s unimportant, make the effort. Talk to your Dad every day.
