Easter is Jesus Cross-Dragging time

April 3, 2015

In Santa Cruz during Easter, there’s usually a guy dressed to look-alike Jesus Christ an (easy person to find in Santa Cruz, by the way), but probably isn’t on speaking terms with his Father. This traveling messiah-without-a-following piously drags an eight-foot wooden cross. Actually, retro savior doesn’t really carry the cross, he’s pulling the cross—it has steel ball-bearing casters on its bottom, a sponge cushion where the cross rested on his shoulder, along with a foot rest, and round pegs for hand grips, which I guessed were put there so he could nap by assuming a crucifixion position (I don’t believe these were options weren’t available on the original model.).

Guess it’s the BMW of crosses.
