How to reduce stress driving

January 7, 2015

Tips on having to deal with traffic and driving to release tension:
I have driven with aggressive drivers and one thing I think is very funny, they do all the things to others they complain about other motorists doing to them. And most of them have a habit of leaving the last minute and being later whenever they go, and when they arrive late they arrive angry at some idiot that held them up.
1.)When it comes to various laws dealing with lines and turns look at the road as a game board and the cops have the dice.

2.) Leave earlier and you won’t feel compelled to have to “punch it” through every red light.

3.) Don’t get on the road and look at every car as an adversary.

4.) Try once in awhile to just allow others to cut in front of you even if they are a jerk, let them live with themselves and not in your head.

5.) If you have a crummy commute ACCEPT that you chose the job it goes along with, and that means a crummy commute goes with it.

I will say some people still do piss me off, but the game board line helps me accept the road isn’t mine.

If maps are game boards, then L.A. is a mash-up of Risk and Stratego. One big war game.
