Why do people put dishes in the sink instead of the dishwasher?

January 25, 2012

A little break from my Big C missives. The only odd highlight was getting a whtie blood cell shot that my insurance covered and costs $5 to $7 thousand dollars. But let’s get to the mundane instead of the undercurrent swirling around the pilings of our mortality. Wow, how is that for purple prose? Or is that good.

Okay, now to the other deal. Why when someone has a dirty dish they put it in the sink, turn water on it, and leave it there, when it takes exactly the same amount of effort to do the same act , open the dishwasher door and put the dish away?

Is lower the door and closing it that difficult? When these people eat, do they just let the food lay in their mouth and don’t chew?
